ABOUT URBAN FLORA PSYCHIATRY

Where modern medicine meets mindful living

Gold and green stylized firework explosion

At Urban Flora Psychiatry, we take a root-cause approach to mental health—blending traditional psychiatry with lifestyle medicine, functional testing, and mindful daily practices. Our goal is simple: to help you reconnect with balance, restore energy, and feel at home in your body and mind again.

Founded by Dr. LaQuandra Brown, DNP, PMHNP-BC, Urban Flora Psychiatry was built from the belief that true healing is never one-dimensional. Every plan we create is as individual as the person behind it—because your life, history, and biology deserve that level of care.

Our Philosophy

We believe mental wellness grows when you nurture the whole ecosystem of your life.

That means exploring how your nutrition, hormones, sleep, stress response, and environment interact with your emotional well-being.

Instead of silencing symptoms, we look for patterns—helping you understand why you feel the way you do and how to sustainably shift it.

Our Work Bridges:

Evidence-based psychiatry

Functional and integrative medicine

Lifestyle optimization

Collaborative, compassionate care

You’ll never feel rushed, dismissed, or reduced to a diagnosis here.
